Magic[]

In each book, Teddy and Kathleen turned the Wand of Dianthus into a musical instrument in order to inspire the artists. They had also had to sing a song, making up their own lyrics.

  • In Moonlight on the Magic Flute, the wand was a flute. Jack and Annie used it to guide escape zoo animals back home. This inspired Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart write his famous opera.
  • In A Good Night for Ghosts, the wand was a trumpet. Louis Armstrong, "Digger", used the trumpet to entertain pirate ghosts haunting Bourbon Street, New Orleans.
  • In Leprechaun in Late Winter, the wand was an Irish whistle. Jack and Annie used it to summon the Shee to help Augusta, Lady Gregory, find the magic. While this caused her to be shrunk down and taken by the Shee, a leprechaun named Willie was taught how to use the whistle, so they were able to get her back and inspire her.
  • In A Ghost Tale for Christmas Time, the wand was a violin. Seeing that Charles Dickens was feeling hopeless about his writing, Jack and Annie used the violin to have three ghosts show him different visions of his past, present, and potential future. This inspired him to write "A Christmas Carol".
